Here you can read all the latest news strait from Bramle Lane

Charlton 1-1 Shefield United

Jon Stead (left) celebrates his equaliser with Phil Jagielka (centre) and Nick Montgomery Charlton took the game to Shefeild United, mainly because a point would suit the away team much better than it would Charlton, and charlton took the lead 15 minuites into the second half when El Karkouri's deflected shot found its way past Paddy kenny.

However, 10 minuites later John Stead scored the leveller for the baldes, and they were very happy to take a point from the valley.

 Fined!

Sheffield United boss Neil Warnock is confronted by Wally Downes The Football Association has fined Sheffield United £10,000 and Reading £5,000 after a touchline fracas during their match on 20 January.

Reading coach Wally Downes has also been fined £2,000 and handed a one-match touchline ban. Downes had admitted a charge of improper conduct.

That match also saw Blades substitute Keith Gillespie sent off for swinging an arm into the face of Reading midfielder Stephen Hunt. This was then followed by sideline fisty-cuffs.

Everton 1-1 Shefeild United

Everton have scored the most goals in injury time this season, 5 in all, and so if they did fall behind, there was certainly a chance that they could come back and get the all important pojnt that was needed to lift them into 6th.

Mikel Arteta

After a very dull first half at Bramel Lane, the home side took the lead when the enonemous Rob Hulse turned the ball into Tim Howards net from a decent bit of play down the right hand side.

This sparked life into the Everton team, who were awarded a penalty after Andy Johnson was brought down by Paddy Kenny. Mikel Arteta cooly converted the spot kick.

Sheffield United 1-1 Portsmouth

Stephen Quinn History was very much against Portsmouth. The south-coast side had not recorded a win at Bramall Lane since 1955, and had lost 19 of the last 22 games played there.

Sheffield United took the lead with a wicked left foot free kick from 20 yards by Stephen Quinn, but 9 minutes from time pompy grabbed an equaliser through Gary O’Neil after a mix up between Paul Gerrard and Claude Davis.

Nugent "Overpriced"

David Nugent Sheffeild United have pulled out of the chase for Preston striker David Nugent by calling him, " Out rageously overpriced!".
The Blades had a club-record £6m bid for the England under-21 star turned down, and that is a lot of money for a championship player!
